Review of Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) by Matthew M — 20 Sep 2011
You wouldn't go to see this movie for excellent scripting or intellectual stimulation, and, with that, it doesn't disappoint - it's as wholly unnecessary, pointless and loud as ever, but isn't that the point? The special effects are pretty awesome, the action is frequent and this is really the instalment the previous one should have been.
Jovovich still can't act, but she doesn't need to; her wardrobe is skimpy and her running and shooting fine-tuned. Basically, if you enjoyed the previous Resident Evil films, chances are you'll love this one.
If you don't like any of them, or any films of that genre, stay away.
