Review of Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) by Kundk — 29 Nov 2010
The Resident Evil series has never been high on logic, thoughtful dialogues or nuanced performances, but it was always good unclean brainless zombie fun. This time the script is beyond awful, the acting is abysmal and the direction an incoherent string of enhanced-for-3D set pieces which Paul W.
S. Anderson thinks look super-cool but are in fact poor man's rip-offs of The Matrix, Blade, Equilibrium and, strangely, Silent Hill. Still, fans of the series will find some very guilty pleasures even in this mess.
