Review of Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) by Splitend89 — 09 Sep 2010
This movie is quite awesome! If you want to see it, you should see it in 3D. The gimicks work quite well. When you see it, don't look at is as a "Resident Evil game" movie. Watch it as a separate entity to the Resident Evil culture and series. What I liked about this movie most was the styling of the world. A grey apocalypse has fallen, giving the world a feeling of depression. As for the critic's "it's humorless", no duh, it's a horror movie, and for the comment about them not running "full speed" through the apocalypse, after several years of doing one thing, I think it wouldn't really frighten you anymore. I mean, she's been chased by zombies a million times.
All I can say is, don't let the movie critics reviews steer you clear of it. This is a great movie that you deserve to let yourself watch. Watch it as an action movie and you'll be happy.
The only thing I can really say bad about this movie is that it felt just too short.
