Review of Resident Evil (2002) by Kc T — 09 Aug 2012
I love this movie. There, I said it. That's not to say its a great movie. In all actuality it strays quite far from the storyline of the game it's based from. Still, Paul Anderson managed to keep enough of the key elements that make up Resident Evil (Umbrella, T-Virus, Raccoon City, zombies, traitors, puzzles, traps, etc.
..) to make a cohesive movie that succeeds in its goal: being entertaining. The effects may not be the best but for the budget this film was given one can hardly fault it. As stated in other descriptions, this movie is like a cross between Aliens and Night of the Living Dead.
More action than horror, this movie definitely has some entertaining moments (one word: lasers). Action, zombies, Milla Jovovich, zombies, conspiracies, zombies... You get the idea. Good movie, excellent games.
