Review of Reservoir Dogs (1992) by Alex B — 26 Aug 2013
This film is perfection! Absolute perfection! Quentin Tarantino takes a crime drama and transforms it into a fascinating character study of a group of very different guys, once with the same goal, now each attempting to figure out which member of their group is an undercover cop.
The use of impressive cinematography and music create a unique tone of light mixing with dark. The characters are where this story really shines. Each character is their own person, and each actor presents them brilliantly.
Though the characters may be hired for the same job, that doesn't mean they think the same way, or even get along for that matter. I found the confrontations between the characters to be just as intense as the action scenes.
I'm not even going to say much about the action or violence because if your familiar with Tarantino, you know what to expect, (it's presented brilliantly). This movie is one you talk about. You need to watch it more then once to truly understand all the intricacies behind it all.
If you're a fan of movies in general, this is a must see!
