Review of Reservoir Dogs (1992) by Faizal B — 18 Sep 2015
Reservoir Dogs is one of those movies that with the wrong director could have been awful. It's a heist movie where they don't show the heist. We see the aftermath, how the robber got away and we see them in the warehouse arguing but we only ever hear about the heist.
Reservoir Dogs is a near perfect movie with amazing acting, directing, and writing. This film has great performances, Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Michael Madsen and Tim Roth are all fantastic, this is a film that needed great performances and luckily there isn't a bad one.
Quentin Tarantino fantastically directs this film, this was his first movie and he knocked it out of the park. The script is amazing, all the dialogue feels very natural and its amazing. This film is also pretty tense, the scene with Michael Madsen torturing the co is a really intense scene.
This film is jam packed full of 80's songs and they are all great and fit in very well. I think Steve Buscemi gives a great performance and he's probably my favourite character in the film. This movie is full of iconic scenes like the badass slow motion walk, or the scene where they all get their code names, or the one with Tim Roth telling the story.
This film has a fantastic ending and wraps everything up very well. This is a great and very well paced movie and one of the best ever made. A+.
