Review of Reservation Road (2007) by Kayvon P — 11 May 2008
The movie starts off way too fast with the tragedy and the character development doesn't really progress very well at all. Jennifer Connelly's performance, as expected, is amazing and Phoenix gives a solid performance as well but the rest of the actors seem disconnected from the actual tragedy.
The scene where Jennifer Connelly hears the reason her son got out of the car is absolutely gut wrenching. The plot is pretty unique and there's a crazy twist that really engages you and makes you want to check out the ending to see what happens.
The ending is sad but feels a tad cheap overall but the movie is worth the rental for sure.
