Review of Reservation Road (2007) by Alec T — 11 May 2008
Reservation Road is like a Lifetime movie with a far better cast - among them two Oscar winners (Jennifer Connelly, Mira Sorvino) and a nominee (Joaquin Phoenix). Despite all the accolades thrown at these actors - Mark Ruffalo - the least celebrated of the bunch, gives the best performance.
Following on the heels of director Terry George's grippingly heart-wrenching Hotel Rwanda and primed as prestige pic award bait, Reservation Road comes across as a letdown.
