Review of Reservation Road (2007) by Marj O — 11 Jan 2009
I watched this movie yesterday in HBO and I didn' know anything about it. It was a good movie though; and this is definitely a tear-jerker..one heck of a drama but I could relate to the Joaquin Phoenix's and Jennifer Connelly's grief because I, too, am a parent and I will do anything to protect my family.
Joaquin Phoenix's performance was great--it's just too bad that I heard somewhere that he's retiring from acting. Mark Ruffalo seemed a bit frozen in his dramatic moments but all in all his performance was good.
This is a movie that will still make you feel bad even after it's done. Watch it when you feel like watching something depressing.
