Review of Reservation Road (2007) by Chris C — 14 Feb 2009
Not too bad. I would say that it was worth a viewing. I've seen too many hit-and-run dramas about the aftermath of dealing with your decisions. This one ranks up there as far as that subgenre goes.
Ruffalo is pretty bad in this though. Phoenix was good. I felt the drama but it is a bit overplayed and overdone. Did have a bit of a different perspective with showing both guys going through what they went through.
Usually, we get one or the other. The victim is usually upstanding and the perp is horrible when we focus on the victim. The victim is unidentified and the perp is shown with remorse when we focus on the perp.
In this one, both are upstanding and we focus on both of their drama. Little different but still, I've seen it before.
