A pretty dark film about a Connecticut man who loses his son to a hit-and-run accident and then, frustrated by police inaction, tries to track down the perpetrator himself. Strong performances by Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo.
Connelly's role is relatively thankless.
