Review of Reservation Road (2007) by Nix V — 31 May 2010
While Reservation Road is blown out of proportion several times, it is redeemed by a intensity in the film-making that ultimately raises the film to a rumination on the finality of death itself, and the message it delivers is that life is for the living, and we must move on however hard that might be.
Death is the central protagonist, a grave Mcguffin so as to speak, and an intense, if often preposterous human drama revolves around it.
