I think this film is borderline okay/good. I don't think it's amazing or as exciting as I was expecting. However it is still a good film. My major quarms with the film are the lack of action, after seeing the trailer a few years back I was expecting more.
I also thought some more real footage of the war in Vietnam would have helped. My other problem was Christian Bale, who I do like however I wasn't convinced with him in this role. Despite these problems I did still enjoy the film and the true story itself is something to be admired, the courage and determination taken on by Dieter Dengler.
