Review of Requiem for the American Dream (2015) by Michelle R — 17 May 2016
This is not just for Americans. Any person in the developed world should watch this. There should be an uprising. Chomsky speaks eloquently of the unequal distribution of wealth. It is glaring and it is getting worse.
A message he spoke of decades ago which is now even more pertinent. I have more disagreed with any of the points he discusses - from economies in developed nations focused on finance instead of manufacturing, to off-shoring, the downfall of democracy, lobbyists and how politics is controlled by the wealthy for their benefit instead of the general population.
People are nor interested in voting because there is no one to trust.
