Review of Requiem for a Dream (2000) by Mark L — 11 Aug 2014
It's hard to make a movie, especially a hollywood movie, about something so overdone as 'the dangers of drugs', but this one manages it. I think the secret is the Trainspotting-style frankness of the actual drug use scenes in conjunction with the bleakly powerful score.
