An elderly woman, her son and his girlfriend are brought to a devastating point of their lives by an evil that none of them has foreseen. That evil is their addiction to drugs. Aronofsky chose editing as a tool to narrate this psychological thriller.
Stupendous performance by Ellen Burstyn.
