The first in Polanski's "apartment trilogy", tells the story of a girl who is left to herself in an apartment after her sister and her boyfriend take a trip to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
She starts going crazy from being alone, despite the fact she is dating a man and has many friends at work, leading to an array of events that take her even further out of her mind.
