Review of Repulsion (1965) by Joseph S — 18 Jan 2009
So I just saw Repulsion, Roman Polanski's movie about a beautiful woman falling deeper and deeper into psychosis. She's repulsed by men, eventually murdering a couple and losing any sense of sanity she had left.
Towards the end there's a close up of her (Catherine Deneuve's) face, and I thought, you know, she's so pretty, I can change her! This is why we fail.
