Review of Reprise (2006) by Steve S — 14 Sep 2008
:fresh: :fresh: :fresh: 1/2 (out of four).
What a breath of fresh air this film is. It respectfully treats its characters and its audience as though their IQ's are actually above the single digits..
.
The story envolves two friends, Erik and Philip. They are both writers who have sent their respective books to publishers. Philip's is accepted and Erik's is not. The film follows these characters and the results of the fortune and misfortune..
.
The situations feel real and the performances are impeccable. It is made for those who truly enjoy seeing something that is unique and not the same run-of-the-mill Hollywood story. Reprise is highly reccommended..
