Review of Reprise (2006) by Tristan F — 02 Nov 2008
The French New Wave inspired style of the movie serves a function in drawing you into this circle of friends who are united in their love of Norwegian punk and Joy Division. A coming of age story but with the focus on writing in the two main characters - friends who submit their manuscripts to publishing houses on the same day - has something to say about the chaotic trajectory of people's lives, as well as the costs and sacrifices made in pursuit of creative value.
A recommended sleeper of a film.
