Review of Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) by Jc S — 19 Feb 2011

It's immensely cheesy and doesn't quite work as well as it should. But there's still plenty to like in this film (it's probably the best thing Paris Hilton has ever done, for example). The visuals, the atmosphere, the characters, the costumes, the gore and how stunningly gorgeous Sarah Brightman is.

Also, apart from being a tad cringe-worthy in places, the music is really good; props to Yoshiki & co. for the rad tunes. Bottom line, not everyone will like this, but I did. Beats High School Musical any day.
