Review of Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) by Natalie H — 26 Feb 2010
I rented this movie for the simple reason that Giles was in it, and I love hearing Anthony Stewart Head sing, and though I am not generally into slasher/bloody/gory movies, the premise was somewhat intriguing to me.
I am a bit shocked by how much I loved it. The characters are complicated enough that I even had some sympathy for the villains, and I'm still humming the music days later. Thoroughly enjoyable. And although I doubt it was a big stretch to convincingly play the spoiled daughter of a rich and powerful businessman, I have to say, Paris Hilton wasn't half bad.
