Review of Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) by Kyle S — 10 May 2010

This is a film that flew below the radar for whatever reasons, and I feel that it is a bad thing. Rock opera is not easy to write or perform, and this film does both more than adequately. The cast is filled with fantastic singers and actors. Not a single individual brought a weak performance to the screen.

Add to all this that the story of the film follows an interesting Wagnerian style opera with a modern feel, and you have a golden film.

I normally do not give movies a 100% rating, but I feel that the rotten rating that this movie has received is one that this movie is not worthy of.
