Review of Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) by Craig M — 19 May 2010
Has most of the problems you'd expect from anything from the people behind the Saw series... Along with some bad writing. A few catchy tunes but where most of the dialogue is sung it lacks impact and there aren't so many strong, memorably musical numbers. However, the basic character dynamics and cyberpunk setting are at least a little endearing, and the singing does help to make up for the bad acting and writing, and it doesn't take itself too seriously (if at all).
It's guilty pleasure trash but it's stylish and lovable.
