Review of Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) by Shannon H — 25 Jan 2010
Repo! The Genetic Opera was a fantastic piece of work. With the exception of one track, the songs were well performed and flowed together nicely in one of the final sequences, when all of the songs begin to combine.
Paris Hilton, normally an abomination to be seen in a movie's credits, did a great job of playing her character...which as a stuck-up, appearance-obsessed, attention whore, just so happened to be not so far-fetched for her.
Sarah Brightman's performance as Blind Mag was incredible; her voice was captivating and her dark appearance was beautiful. Gore abound, but not overly done, interesting characters, and a strong cast made me fall in love with Repo.
