Review of Repo Men (2010) by Guido S — 14 Sep 2013
Jude Law and Forest Whittaker are repo men, but not in the traditional sense. In the future, people have to pay credit to get their organs, if they fall back on payments, the repo men come and take their organs back by any means.
The first half of this film was cool with this interesting take on repossession. However, it quickly becomes highly predictable and the story begins to suffer once Jude Law gets an artificial organ. You knew the story was going to turn where he was the run on the run.
You know he was going to bring down the organization. From the first words, describing Schrodinger's Cat, you know there is going to be some type of "is he living or not" bit and, yep, there is a Total Recall like ending.
There were plenty of cool ideas, but the story was so predictable and a waste of a great idea.
