Review of Repo Men (2010) by Azeem H — 12 Apr 2014
Having read the reviews,I was somewhat wary of this film. In actual fact it was better than expected up until half-way through where it fell into a standard generic plot. Think of Logan's Run/The Island/Minority Report, it offers a twist ending which again makes it better than expected.
It tries to mimic RoboCop's satire some of it works but mainly it misses the mark. The direction isn't particularly interesting, though to be fair the actors involved do give solid and entertaining performances.
There is some black humour to the film but again it comes within first hour, after which it becomes generic. An interesting film to watch when there's nothing else on.
