Review of Repo Man (1984) by Paul M — 22 Jul 2008
Cult freakin' classic. To the power of cult. Squared. Utterly ridiculous insane plot, involving government conspiracies, mad scientists, aliens in car trunks, punks, and the titular Repo Men. And yet, it manages to avoid being a brash, cliche-laden B-Movie.
Just a bit insane. Great stuff. If you can, watch the real version, and the legendary BBC2 redubbed version - where they replaced all instances of the "F" word. One of the best lines ever - "F.
.. Flip you, you mutha-f... melon-farming Rodriguez boys!" Whoever was given that job EXCELLED!
