Review of Repo Man (1984) by Patryk M — 20 Mar 2009
I love the living fuck out of this movie! A sci-fi comedy about a suburban L.A. punk rocker who becomes embroiled in a plot to repossess a Chevy Malibu containing an alien corpse in the trunk. It's also a subversive attack of the Reagan era 80's with one of the greatest Punk soundtracks ever.
It's great how sleazy and irradiated L.A. looks in it. Big inspiration for Tarantino, Lynch, and Richard Kelly's Southland Tales.
