Review of Repo Man (1984) by Jj M — 12 May 2011
Chaotic coolness, simmering surreality and delectable humour. This appears to have been partially an influence on Pulp Fiction, made 10 years later. A little slice of enigmatic genius, it has some brilliant urban/neon photography (from the visionary mind of Robby Muller) and has a confidence in its own madness that I can only but admire Alex Cox as a director, even though I know very little of him.
