Review of Rent (2005) by Taral-H — 26 Nov 2005
Yuck. yuck. yuck. I loved the stage show and could not wait for the film version. I was stunned by its lack of energy, pacing, context, passion. I left after the first hour was over. I am deeply saddened, but if those of us who consider ourselves fans of Rent the Musical are to be honest - hard to see how any of us could be fans of Rent the Movie.
Truly awful film.
