Review of Rendition (2007) by Thomas D — 20 Nov 2009
If this film had been a dark comedy along the lines of Burn After Reading, it would have merited at least 3 stars; this film did have strong cinematography, well-groomed acting, and a plot following two stories juxtaposed with one another.
The film itself fails, however, because unlike Burn After Reading, Rendition is serious in painting the U.S. as an infidel, an entity who is only capable of rendering great evil not only upon the world, but upon its own citizens both American-born and those naturalized.
