Review of Renaissance (2006) by Vamsi K — 13 Jun 2010
A decent mystery capsuled in a fantastic visual experience. it's a high-contrast black & white animation film, shot using motion capture which makes it highly realistic. there are no grays, so the lighting and photography looks totally unique.
Inspired by japanese manga. apparently it took 7 years to make this movie!
The story is set in the future (2054), in france. it deals with a series of kidnappings and a mysterious corporate giant that is linked to the people going missing.
