Review of Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985) by Maiko H — 04 Jul 2008
I don't know exactly how a white dude in a slanty eye makeup became a likable character (despite being racist and sexist, too).
This, along with buckaroo banzai, are two 80s action movies that I actually wish had sequels. back then, there was an economy to filmmaking that doesn't exist today, when even the shittiest, shallowest movies have to be 2+ hours. also, it's nice to see bullet dodging with the stupid 360 degree CGI shot.
