Review of Religulous (2008) by Stephen C — 30 Aug 2010
Very funny and and sometimes alarming documentary om the madness of modern religion.
Bill Maher is a funny if sometimes snide guide through the different faiths and how people in those faiths view the world.
So we get a Mexican Preacher who thiks he is the second coming ,a Jesus theme park, and a reformed Gay guy who tries to turn gays back into hetrosexuals.
Whats staggering is despite some of these people obviously being frauds they are 100% convinced they are doing gods work.
What helps the film also is that Larry Charles is the director and this is handy as he has experience with Borat and Bruno and so knows what he is doing.
A fine doc just dont expect any conversions.
