Finally someone had enough balls to make a documentary against religion. At first I wasn't sure how good this film would be because I thought Bill Maher would just make fun of organized religion, he does for the whole movie but he also informs us why it's so ridiculous (or religulous).

Half of the movie Bill focuses on Christianity and the latter half is a few other major religions, which I like because Christianity is one of the biggest religions in the world and the most recognizable one.

He shows how ridiculous religion is, like the fairy tale stories in the Bible and the things it says which if you think about doesn't make any sense. But I was alittle disappointed that some major factors of Christianity wasn't mentioned like how can Adam and Eve be the first people on Earth then thousands of years later there are black, asian and middle-eastern people? Or if you pray and your prayer isn't answered, people usually say it's not in God's will but if it's not in his will what's the point of praying then if God isn't going to answer your prayer.

There are so many more but I am afraid that I'm going to run out of space. Bill Maher just doesn't talk about how idiotic religion is, he also talks about the effects it has on people and the Earth.

A lot of wars and terrible things happen because of the religious people but that's where Bill loses me because religion doesn't say or most religions to kill people, it's people telling people to kill, it just happens that a lot of them are religious and it might actually make people feel superior because they "have" God on their side.

I just wished Bill would of interviewed more intelligent people because people might just dismiss Religulous as him interviewing crazy people. Out of all of the documentaries I have seen (which ain't many), I have to say this one is by far the best.

The three main reasons I believe people become religious is because they don't know what happens when we die, well no one does and the Bible doesn't either because it is written by people not God.

People go through a tough time in their life and they feel like they have no where to turn but giving money to the church does not help, it just helps the church to buy a better piano or a bigger cross.

And the third thing is because some people are born into it, and we become brainwashed into believing, and the church controls us through fear with if you don't follow God you will burn in hell, but there is no hell because if there is one, why would we get punished by the Devil, he is the one who was tempting us into sinning.

There is no fact in religion, only belief and sorry but faith isn't good enough in an age of science. Old beliefs like stoning people to death is not acceptable in todays world and things like treating your slave like everyone else this not either, you have to believe in the whole Bible or nothing, you can't just pick and choose what you are going to follow.

Doesn't make sense just like the rest of the Bible. A documentary everyone should see.
