Review of Reign Over Me (2007) by Ben S — 19 Nov 2009
A powerful greatly directed movie that deals with the loss of family, friendship and social placement. Whilst Sandlers typical wit borders on annoying at times (Same acting as Billy Madison) it also provides adds relief and lets us take a breath from the darkly emotional storyline.
Cheadle is no more inspiring than his lackluster role in Boogie Nights, and his interaction with the "Willing" dentist patient can only be described as wooden. No Pun Intended. Overall a great movie that deliveres more than it promises.
Not a girlie movie, but the tone of loss will pull at the heart strings regardless of gender. One for the collection.
