I belive everyone want to escape when things like that happens. It is nature of human being and deserves no complain. But seems no one is patient enough to figure out his own way to fix it up, if there is one, he is lucky. I believe they, the parents in law, the land owner and others do love Charlie and feel hard seeing him swamped in but ingoring the pain. They just need a step- what the doc did, waiting for him to open up, they can make it.

Outside the court, he said to his parents in law: " You have each othe..... but I see them every minute, everywhere...." That is the core of loneliness and pain.
