Review of Reign Over Me (2007) by Noah M — 26 Jul 2010
I don't even know how to start. let's put it this way; I have never cried during a movie before in my life, and now I have an exception. this is one of the most powerful movies I have ever seen.
Sandler puts on one of the best performances an actor can in portraying a man who has lost everything, understanding that when a man has lost his family, he truly has nothing to lose but his sanity. Don Cheadle does a great job as the co-lead, and, the best part about this movie, is the realism that at the end; your left wondering if Charlie, (Sandler), will ever recover.
Absolutely no hollywood bullshit in terms of character development, and the script is flawless because the lines are delivered in such as realistic tone. As for the comic relief, no one in real life is truly serious all of the time.
I wish I could rate this higher, and where the fuck is Sandler's Oscar!!!???
