Review of Reign Over Me (2007) by Jeff C — 27 Jan 2011

This film is one of my favorite dramas made in the last decade. The acting was great in this film and shows Adam Sandler's true acting abilities. Sandler gives his best performance of his career as Charlie, a man who lost his family during the attack on the World Trade Center and has kept himself in a somewhat of a box from everything since.

Don Cheadle is great as well as the old college roomate of Charlie's and eventually finds himself trying to help Charlie through his tough time. The supporting cast of, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Liv Tyler and Donald Sutherland help add to the story at certain points in the film.

The film is an emotional ride and is uplifting and has a great message of friendship. I Highly recommend this film.
