Review of Reign Over Me (2007) by Dennis L — 01 Apr 2012
This is a film that I think a lot of people would not like only because of Adam Sandler. The man has some serious acting chops, the biggest problem is that he made a fool of himself in so many rotten films that when he's acting serious, sometimes you can't tell the difference.
In this film, he plays a man that just can't come to terms of his family dying. He is so grief stricken that even mere touching sends him into a furious state. Now when you see him go into these states it looks like his slapstick at first, but when you feel deep down inside you truly see the pain and anguish this man is feeling.
A pretty good overall movie, very sad and a solid supporting performance from Don Cheadle.
