Like Punch-Drunk Love, Reign Over Me shows that Adam Sandler can be in much more than just stupid comedies. He has a talent that is just waiting to peek out and instead of casting him in Grown Ups 2 or another cash grab comedy or sequel, we should let the talent come out.
This movie let that out and in a tremendous fashion. It may not have been the performance he had in Punch-Drunk Love, but it sure was a breakthrough.
