Review of Reign of Fire (2002) by Lara C — 09 Aug 2009

The movie is good, I like the whole storie and dragons, I thought they were awesome in this one.

The first dragon to be discovered by a young lad Quinn Abercrombie (Christian Bale) in London who, 18 years later, has grown up to be the leader of a group of survivors stationed in fortress with very little hope for a future. The World as we know was burned to the ground and very little few humans survived. That is, of course, until one day when `Dragon Slayer' Denton Van Dan (Matthew McConaughey) came with his army. From that moment war between dragons and humans begins.

I like how they design the dragons, they really look magnificient. I like what Matthew McConaughey done with his character Denton Van Dan, the raw, muscular leader of Dragon Slayers, with tears in his eyes after his lost man. He is a great actor and even though Im used to watch him in adventures and romantic comedies, this role has suited him well.

Chrisitian Bale, awesome as always, no need to say nothing more and I need to mention great performance by Gerard Butler, who played Creedy, Quinn best friend.

Overall, if u like fantasy, little bit of human annihilation, end of the World we know and dragons, than this movie is for u. Enjoy.

Creedy: Oh, he's a Dragon Slayer. I suppose that would make you King Arthur does it?
