The first half was what you'd expect from a kung-fu movie, yawn, with the usual ingredients & drab storyline. But the movie picks up pace during the 2nd half & potentially becomes something more than the insipid revenge/conquer-the-world kind of storyline.
The characters, including the assassins, are beautifully drawn. Though the revenge plan of 1 of the leads is too far-fetched where a thousand and one things could have gone wrong...but doesn't, because the plot says so.
