Review of Regular Show: The Movie (2015) by Duncan P — 15 Sep 2015
One of the most successful series-to-film transitions I've seen yet, it never feels bloated or too long, and is consistently funny. Ultimately it's probably mostly for the fans and not really other people, but between the supernatural-batshit-for-no-reason scenario typical of the show, and all the best worst parts of 80s sci-fi movies and videogames, but with the added benefit of character depth from rarely-explored-in-media feely strong bromantic stuff, it's easily this year's best animated film.
It's not the best place for new viewers to start, but if you're in any way a geek, or an 80s kid, go catch up on the show already dammit.
