The movie is based on completely debunked urban legend-style rumors. With Ethan Hawke and Emma Watson, I thought there was hope for the movie. But there isn't. Its slow and like a good thriller tries to crawl in the viewers ear.
Unfortunately, every new aspect of Satanism just reminded me of the varied articles I'd read about Satanic child abuse. It was impossible for me to take seriously. And the seemingly monotone movie did nothing to distract me from the absurd premise.
