Review of Regarding Henry (1991) by Lisa W — 01 May 2010
Henry Turner is a hot-shot lawyer who has no time for his wife and doesn't know how to talk to his daughter. One evening, Henry is shot while out buying cigarettes and it turns his life upside down.
He loses the cabablity to talk and move and has amnesia of his life. So Henry has to learn all over again. Harrison Ford plays his part perfectly with a lot of restraint and respect for the role. I was afraid of ham acting on his behalf but he proved me wrong.
I enjoyed his acting in this film and his chemistry with all the cast. I especially loved the developing chemistry between father and daughter. It was beautifully played and well shot by director Mike Nichols.
It's certainly one of Ford's best dramatic roles.
