Review of Reds (1981) by Corey P — 05 Sep 2007
The first half is good, however its the second half that is truly jaw dropping and why this is so recommended. Extremely complex characters and situations that respect the viewer's intelligence more than most films I've ever seen, and while I can also say much for the acting, its the direction and cinematography that stands the test of time amazingly, with complex shots and scenes that sometimes last just seconds.
An amazing amount of work went into this and it pays off. Again, if you're only mildly entertained by the first half, please stick it through.
