Review of Reds (1981) by Ben B — 03 Mar 2009
When forced to choose, I usually end up calling this my number one film of all time. Gutsy, smart, romantic epic about American progressives in the early twentieth century made at the height of Reagan's popularity.
Long...perhaps. But what are you going to cut and still get the feeling this film invokes? This really is the type of film no one makes anymore, and its a shame.
