Review of Reds (1981) by Maarrk H — 28 Aug 2009
Much of what's amazing about 'Reds' is the fact that it was ever actually made within the Hollywood studio system, and primarily at the point in time in which Reagan was pointing his finger Eastward at what he proclaimed the "evil empire.
" But what's even more incredible is the true life story it tells of revolution and love. Beatty's never quite directed in the same way, but given how well composed and constructed 'Reds' is, he didn't really ever have to again.
A brilliant waste of 3 hours and 20 miutes.
